  Trenton's Fourth-Graders Bring a New Emphasis to Fire Safety
On a 20-question test accompanied by instructional sessions, the fourth grade-class of Ms. Carol Allen at Grant School outperformed their fourth-grade peers in 14 other schools -- and five students had scores of 95 or better. The students were honored by Trenton firefighters December 13.

  Painter Trainees Brighten Up Lipinski Senior Center
The Sherwin Williams-Trenton partnership produced a third class of trained painters May 11, with 19 individuals completing the Home Work Program supervised by Art Mayer of SW. Earlier classes refurbished the Reading and Sam Naples Centers.
 
  Revolutionary Trenton
In the winter of 1776 the American Revolution tottered on the edge of defeat. The Continental Army's surprise attack Christmas Day on the German mercenaries occupying Trenton, followed by the defeat of British forces at Princeton and the successful withdrawal of the Continental Army following the Second Battle of Trenton, charged the course of history.
 
  Reconnecting with the River
Trenton was founded at the head of tide on the Delaware River at the confluence of the river and Assunpink Creek. The construction of Rt. 29 blocked City residents from the easy access to the Delaware they had taken for granted for generations. Trenton has bold plans to reconnect with the Delaware River.
 
  Architectural treasures
Trenton is rich in architecturally significant, historic buildings that owners have lovingly restored to their former grandeur. Many more buildings are available for restoration. These are the winners of the 2006 Historic Landmarks Awards.
 
  Trenton on the drawing board
The logic of "smart growth" has renewed appreciation for Trenton's position as a regional transit hub. Developers are investing hundreds of millions of dollars in Trenton, showing with action their confidence in the City's prospects.

With little fanfare building projects throughout the City are bringing new homes and businesses to Trenton.
