If your signature has changed since your original voter registration, it is recommended that you re-register to vote so your signature is current and can be matched to the one on your registration when voting. If you have become disabled and can no longer sign your signature when voting, please reach out to the Mercer County Superintendent of Elections Office at 609-989-6750 for further information on your voter registration.

Q: How do I register to vote?

A: You may print a voter registration application from the website, pick up an application in person or request a voter registration application be mailed to you from:

Q: What are the qualifications to vote?

A: You must be a citizen of the United States and, at least 18 years by the date of the next election, and a resident of New Jersey and your county for at least 30 days.

Q: What is a Mail-in Ballot?

A: A Mail-in ballot is a vote cast by someone who is unable to vote in person or has chosen not to vote in person. Click here for an instructional video on how to Vote By Mail.

Q: How do I obtain a mail-in ballot?

A: You may print an application for a mail-in ballot or request the application from the City Clerk's Office or the County offices below:

Q: What are the qualifications and procedures to receive a mail-in ballot?

A: The only qualification is that you must be a registered voter of Mercer County. REMEMBER, if you file a Mail-in Ballot you can not vote at the polls for that election.

The procedure to receive a ballot is as follows:

  • You must submit an application for a ballot
  • Your ballot will be mailed on or after the 40th day prior to the election
  • Do not submit more than one application for the same election
  • You will receive instructions with your mail-in ballot
  • Your mail-in ballot must be received by the Board of Election, 640 S. Broad Street, Trenton, no later than 8:00 p.m. (close of the polls) the day of the election
  • You may apply for each election you intend to vote by mail-in ballot or you may select to vote permanently by mail-in ballot

A: When you receive your sample ballot, above your name and address is your polling location, or you may call the City Clerk's office at (609) 989-3187.  Also, please see the complete list of polling places below.
