PARK RANGERS
Located at the Ranger Station in Historic Cadwalader Park. The City of Trenton Park Rangers are on patrol in parks throughout the city. Ranger Station contact number is 609-989-3588.
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide safety and security to the Parks, Recreation Centers, Pools, Scoop Programs and Special Events in the City of Trenton through presence, observation and reporting.
PARK RANGER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patrol and inspect public grounds and buildingson a daily basis and during scheduled athletic events and programs.
- Assist park visitors with questions concerning park rules, activities and event schedules.
- Enforce park rules, direct traffic and provide crowd control.
DUTIES
The primary duty of the Park Rangers is to tour the city's parks. During the school year the Rangers are stationed in the City’s Recreational Centers and after-school SCOOP Programs. They provide safety and security for the children and other participants who attend these programs.
There are, approximately, 45 parks throughout the City of Trenton that the Park Rangers tour daily.
Park Rangers have initiated a new Bike Patrol for touring parks and special events throughout
the City of Trenton. The Bike Patrol will be centrally located in Cadwalader Park at the Ranger Station.
