The Bureau of Streets is responsible for maintaining and cleaning the City's streets and alleys, repairing potholes, removal of snow during the winter and removal of leaves during the fall. Among the Bureau's measurable accomplishments in fiscal year 2005-06:
Filled 6,963 potholes.
Laid down 7,870 tons of asphalt in 47 street repair/repaving projects.
Removed 1,722 tons of debries from streets and alleys.
Collected 118 truck loads of leaves.
Disposed of 23 truck loads of discarded Christmas trees
