The Health Incentive Program for Women provides risk reduction services for women at high risk for HIV disease. These services include intensive case management, individual and group risk reduction sessions, HIV counseling and testing, advocacy, and information and referrals for medical, social, and educational services. Transportation assistance, social, and recreational support is also available.

Project LISTOS provides targeted street outreach services to those individuals at the highest risk of contracting or transmitting HIV disease due to cultural and language barriers. The program provides information, advocacy, and referrals for individual and group risk reduction sessions, HIV counseling and testing, medical, legal, and social services. Transportation and translation provided.

Prevention and Education (TMAC)

TMAC is a broad-based coalition of individuals and organizations concerned with the consequences of alcoholism and drug addiction. Its mission is to foster awareness of issues surrounding substance abuse in Trenton. TMAC sponsors a Mini-Alliance program aimed at fostering grass-roots community awareness, commitment and participation. Civic and block associations, neighborhood groups, religious and other non-profit organizations are invited to join TMAC as mini-alliances to carryout community-based activities for preventing alcoholism and drug addiction.
Trenton Redirecting Youth Prevention Education Program (TRYPEP)

The TRYPEP initiative is a partnership between the City of Trenton, the Mercer County Juvenile Justice Commission, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ. The program is designed to train first-time adjudicated youth offenders in Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) resistance techniques. Youth are trained to become peer mentors providing ATOD prevention education to 4th, 5th and 6th graders attending the Trenton Public Schools and participating in the Trenton Municipal Alliance Committee’s Mini-Alliance projects.
Adult Health and Adolescent Clinic

The Trenton Adult and Adolescent Health Clinic provide full range of primary healthcare services to uninsured adult and adolescent residents of Trenton. Services include health screenings, sexually transmitted disease education, screening treatment and follow-up services as well as HIV testing and pre-and-post-test counseling. The medical staff consists of two physicians, an adult nurse practitioner, an adolescent nurse practitioner and four nurses. Although the primary healthcare services are limited to Trenton residents, anyone seeking treatment for a sexually transmitted disease are welcome.
Project Impact Health Van

The Project Impact Health Van is a mobile health unit that provides health screenings throughout the City of Trenton. The van offers HIV testing, screening for blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, prostate cancer, sexually transmitted diseases, hepatitis C, pregnancy testing, and colorectal disease. The van is located in various places throughout the city such as major supermarkets, various neighborhood corners and community events. Uninsured individuals are welcome to receive services. This unit provides follow-up of individuals with communicable diseases such as tuberculosis as well as outbreak management and health education programs.
Chronic Diseases

This program provides health and safety education programs for the elderly at senior citizen centers and several high-rise residences, as well as annual flu shots, and home visits to the aged and individuals with chronic diseases.
