    Training Graduates the 5th Class
    of Sherwin-Williams Trainees


    Gussie Bennett (front row, in lavender) gave
    her Sherwin-Williams class a thoughtful
    sendoff May 8th, as the MOET Advisory Board
    joined 24 Sherwin-Williams painter trainees
    at Prospect Village, where the trainees were
    the fifth class to complete the program.

    Said Ms. Bennett: "It doesn't matter where
    you stand . . . but what direction you are

    TCHS Tornadoes Robotics Team
    Distinguishes Itself in Regional
    Applied Science Competition

    TCHS Principal James Earle and Mayor Doug
    Palmer congratulate the Trenton Central High
    School Robotics Team for its win against 63
    teams in the NJ First Regional competition.

    The robot in the foreground was hand crafted
    with unique sonar and gyroscopic attributes,
    akin to the automated driver concepts that
    designers foresee will allow commuters to
    be "chauffeured" electronically.  1st Place!

    2008 Bank of America-Trenton
    Heritage Days Festival Slated
    for a Celebration of Diversity


    South Jersey Market President David Kaiser
    April 16th announced a $40,000 contribution
    by Bank of America, title sponsor of the 30th
    Annual Heritage Days Festival.  It will be at 
    the State Capitol Complex June 7th and 8th.

    The City has two summer employment
    programs, one for college students and the
    other for youth aged 14 to 18.  Download the

    and take note of the dead-
    lines: May 16, 2008 for the college-level
    program and May 30 for the youth program.

    Local Model Program to Assist
    Residents Facing Foreclosure 

    Mayor Douglas H. Palmer January 16 brought
    together a new task force, including David
    Kittle, Chair-Elect of the Mortgage Bankers
    Association (making point), to help property
    owners keep their homes.  The partners say
    the Trenton model will help homeowners with
    options in the nation's foreclosure crisis.
