Mission Statement

The mission of the Division of Tax is to ensure that all property owners in the City of Trenton are billed accurately for property taxes and payments for those taxes are applied in a timely and accurate fashion.

Division Description

The Division of Tax bills and collects all property taxes including maintaining records and providing reports required by New Jersey State Law. In addition the Division is responsible for enforcement activities such as mailing delinquent notices, holding an annual tax sale and providing lists of properties for tax foreclosure.

Property Tax Deductions

Property owners who are permanently disabled, senior citizens, or veterans may qualify for property tax deductions if they meet income and residency requirements.
