Concert: Hey for Christmas!2019-12-14T14:00:00Riverview Early Music: Hey for Christmas!
Please join Riverview Early Music on Saturday, December 14 at 2:00 pm in the 1867 Sanctuary in Ewing for our 3rd annual Holiday concert. This year’s program is made up of exciting celebratory Christmas songs from across Europe in seven different languages. The first half of the program will include some of the oldest known Latin songs, beautiful French melodies, and exciting Spanish rhythms. In the second half, we'll explore the English traditions with wassailing songs, holiday dances, and broadside ballads including "Hey for Christmas”, a real toe-tapper from which our program draws it's name. We hope to see you there for a roaring good time!
Abigail Chapman, soprano
John Burkhalter, recorders
John Lacombe, lute, lyre, cittern, viola da gamba, voice
William Thatcher, lute, Renaissance and Baroque guitars, vielle, cornamuse, voice
