Trenton, N.J. – On Saturday, November 1st the City of Trenton’s Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture, hosted its 3rd Annual Halloween Night: Zombiefest at Cadwalader Park. Along with the yearly Trunk or Treat, this year’s festivities featured carnival rides and games including a Ferris Wheel, Dixie Twister, Round-Up, Swinger, a 100-ft Fun Slide, and the Aqua Blaster Race. The free and family friendly event drew over 6,000 residents and visitors to the Capital City for an evening of fun, thrills, and Halloween themed excitement.

“Trenton’s Halloween Night continues to grow each year,” said Mayor W. Reed Gusciora. “This year’s event truly showcased the creativity of our Recreation Department and the dedication of our assisting personnel from Health, Fire, and Police. It was a night filled with fun, family, and community pride — a true reflection of how Trenton comes together to celebrate. I extend my thanks to Recreation Director Paul Harris and to everyone who helped make it a memorable evening for our city. I’m grateful for the tremendous turnout and look forward to our next community celebration at Christmas.”

In addition to the attractions, there were balloon twisters, caricature artists, face painters, and multiple bounce houses. Attendees could gather around a 50 ft movie screen playing Paranorman and Coraline or take a ride on a spooky trackless filled with Halloween animatronics and eerie décor along the route. Guests could also explore numerous haunted attractions including a zombie butcher’s shop, bus ride, and pumpkin patch, listen or dance to Halloween music by DJ Bishop, enjoy a variety of food from multiple concession stands, climb a rock wall, or ride a mechanical bull.

"This year’s Halloween celebration truly showcased the spirit of Trenton,” said Paul Harris, Director of the Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture. “We’re proud to bring families and visitors together for a safe, exciting, and memorable night right here in Cadwalader Park. Events like these highlight the positivity and unity of our community.”
