Trenton, N.J. – On December 15, 2025, the City of Trenton held its Annual Hanukkah Celebration, bringing together residents and city officials to light the menorah on the second night of Hanukkah.

The event began with Rabbi Adena Blum leading attendees in traditional songs, including 'Dreidel, Dreidel,' along with other customary musical selections in celebration of Hanukkah. This was followed by the lighting of the menorah, during which Rabbi Blum shared the meaning and traditional symbolism of the holiday.

Those in attendance included Mayor W. Reed Gusciora, West Ward Councilwoman Teska Frisby, North Ward Councilwoman Jennifer Williams, and Recreation Director Paul Harris.

“On behalf of the City of Trenton, I extend my warm wishes to all who are celebrating Hanukkah. We are grateful for the children and families who joined us at City Hall, bringing light, joy, and meaning to this celebration," said Mayor Gusciora. "Events like this provide a valuable opportunity to learn from one another’s cultural traditions and reaffirm the diversity that strengthens our city. Trenton is proud to provide a welcoming space where all residents can come together, celebrate their heritage, and share in the spirit of the season."
