City of Trenton Opens Code Blue Warming Centers January 21-27, 2026

❄️ WARMING CENTERS OPEN – IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS ❄️


Due to the inclement weather and the upcoming snowstorm, the City of Trenton Department of Health and Human Services will be opening Warming Centers to ensure residents have access to a safe and warm space.

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT:
We want to make sure residents understand that while our Warming Center locations close at 8:00 PM, the City of Trenton works closely with our community partners to ensure that anyone in need continues to have access to shelter during severe weather. No one is left without support when temperatures are dangerous.


🏠 Code Blue Shelter – Rescue Mission of Trenton
 The Rescue Mission of Trenton is the designated Code Blue shelter for Mercer County.

  • Normal hours: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • During a Code Blue Alert: Open 24 hours a day

🚨 If you see someone experiencing unsheltered homelessness during severe weather, please contact the Trenton Police Department at 609-989-4000 so immediate assistance can be provided.

Our Social Services Division also works closely with individuals and families to connect them with temporary shelter and long-term housing solutions. Warming Centers often serve as the first point of contact to begin those important conversations and provide immediate support during extreme weather.
