Mayor Reed Gusciora Encourages Fans to Safely Have Fun
Trenton N.J. – On Super Bowl Sunday, the Trenton Police Department (TPD) is operating roving DUI patrols concentrating in and around the liquor establishments and heavily traveled roadways.
According to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, alcohol-related DUIs for drivers’ whose Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) is 0.10% or greater can result in the loss of a driver’s license for up to 1 year, over $4,000 in fines, and a 30-day prison sentence. In 2020,
Mayor Reed Gusciora stated, “Please enjoy the Super Bowl, but watch when you drive home. Please keep your family and friends safe.”
Diligent planning as well as the availability of ridesharing services and taxis should allow all Trentonians to safely enjoy Super Bowl LVII. Today, TPD will also be strategically deploying officers to patrol high-crime areas in the City of Trenton.
