Who can receive a record?

Only immediate family members, of legal age, can obtain a certified copy of the record. This person must provide proof of their relationship to the person listed on the record in a form of a long form birth certificate. Spouse must be present marriage certificate.

In addition, a legal representative or guardian with legal custody or the person named on the record may receive a certified copy of the record with the official stamp of the City of Trenton.
