What are the qualifications and procedures to receive a mail-in ballot?

The only qualification is that you must be a registered voter of Mercer County. Remember, if you file a Mail-in Ballot you can not vote at the polls for that election.

Procedure

The procedure to receive a ballot is as follows:

  1. You must submit an application for a ballot
  2. Your ballot will be mailed on or after the 40th day prior to the election
  3. Do not submit more than one application for the same election
  4. You will receive instructions with your mail-in ballot
  5. Your mail-in ballot must be received by the Board of Election, 640 S Broad Street, Trenton, no later than 8 p.m. (close of the polls) the day of the election

You may apply for each election you intend to vote by mail-in ballot or you may select to vote permanently by mail-in ballot
