Trenton, N.J. – The City of Trenton Department of Health and Human Services is announcing the opening of Code Blue Warming Centers for the next five days in response to the forecasted low temperatures. Residents in need of a safe, warm place are encouraged to visit the centers during the scheduled hours.

The City urges all residents to take advantage of these warming centers to stay safe during the extreme cold.

A Code Blue Alert is issued when temperatures drop below freezing, posing a significant risk to the safety of the homeless population.
Residents are encouraged to report individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness during severe weather conditions by contacting the Trenton Police Department at 609-989-4000.
Additionally, the Rescue Mission of Trenton, located at 89 Ewing Street, is a designated Code Blue shelter for Mercer County. During a Code Blue Alert, the Rescue Mission is open 24 hours a day. Under normal conditions, the shelter is open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. daily. For more information, please call 609-695-1436.
