Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 - Park Closure
The New Jersey Arborists chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture will provide tree pruning and removal services throughout Cadwalader Park. A considerable amount of heavy equipment and machinery will be involved to complete the work, which will constitute a serious public safety issue throughout the day.
Up to 30 bucket trucks, 20 chipper trucks, 10 stump grinders, skid steers, and numerous chainsaw crews will be utilized throughout the workday.
One hundred fifty hazardous trees and stumps will be removed to re-establish the lawn area and provide for new tree planting. Additionally, up to 200 trees will be pruned by licensed contractors in good standing with the NJ State Board of Tree Experts.
Cadwalader Park will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian access starting at 7 am and continuing to 6 pm on Saturday, December 2nd.
This event will occur on the following Saturday, December 9th, if the event gets rained out.
