DIRECTOR OF HOUSING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT-CITY OF TRENTON, Mercer County.  The city is seeking an individual to fill the position of Director of Housing and Economic Development. Responsibilities will include: promoting the City’s economic development opportunities, realizing the Mayor’s vision for business development, redevelopment, and workforce programs.  The Director shall ensure that city-funded and owned properties are managed in order to stimulate revenue and neighborhood revitalization efforts. Our goal is to improve the local economy and revitalize the Capital City business district. We are seeking a dynamic leader who can sell the strengths of our assets and who understands New Jersey Redevelopment Laws.  Job Requirements: Applicant must have minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Community Development, Economic Development, Business Management, or related field (Master’s Degree preferable). At least 5 years of management experience in redevelopment or in an economic development capacity for a government entity. Direct experience administering housing and community development programs preferred.  Present salary at minimum is $131,844.
