Task Force One
The members of Task Force One are comprised of Rescue One, Hazmat One, Engine One and Ladder One. Many of these men are HazMat Tech, Scuba, and Confined Space certified. They are also High Angle, Trench Rescue, and Auto Extrication certified.
About the Members
The members of this elite unit are not only professional firefighters, but are capable of operating at:
- Automobile accidents
- Building collapses
- Confined space operations
- Elevator rescues
- Police evidence recovery
- Rigging
- Shoring
- Water rescue and recovery
The members of R-1 are (High Angle Rope Technician) certified. Task Force One also responds to HazMat incidents involving unknown substances for the purpose of identifying and mitigating all Hazardous Material incidents. This unit works closely with the Department of Environment Protection (DEP), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Trenton Police, TEMS and all county wide Fire and Police Departments. Task Force One responds to all Mercer County and Bucks County incidents at the request of the local municipality.
