Beginning on Thursday, September 13, 2018 and lasting through October 31st, Trenton Water Works (TWW), your public water utility, will conduct routine water main flushing throughout our water-distribution system from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. in the evening. This is a standard operating procedure.
During this maintenance operation, customers may notice low water pressure and discolored water. If you experience this, we recommend that you open the faucets on the lowest floor of your home, letting them run for 30 minutes until the water is clear. We strongly recommend that you refrain from doing laundry and using the water for drinking and cooking while the water is discolored.
We apologize for the inconvenience that our water main flushing may cause, but undertaking this industry standard water-quality procedure is necessary to ensure high water quality. While discolored or cloudy water is potable, it is not desirable for use, so please follow our recommendations.
Our customer-service representatives are available to answer your questions during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by phoning (609) 989-3055. We encourage you to share this public notice with your neighbors.
