Trenton, N.J. — Trenton Water Works announced today that it is suspending water meter installations because of COVID-19.
“The City of Trenton’s Health Officer is recommending that we suspend our Meter Replacement Program until further notice,” said Michael A. Walker, Chief of Communications and Community Relations. “We are concerned with the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in New Jersey and across America. We are taking this action to ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers during this challenging time.”
TWW has implemented staggered work schedules for our employees and suspended other non-emergency work, and our administrative office remains closed to the public. Also, we are no longer shutting off water service to residential customers, in compliance with Gov. Phil Murphy’s Executive Order No. 190.
Customers who are experiencing payment challenges can call TWW Customer Care at (609) 989-3055 to discuss entering into a payment agreement.
